The Treasure of the Olonnais
Art by: Enrique Breccia
Written by: A. Valerii & A.Z. Minor
The series was initially published in the Italian magazine L’Eternauta in 1982, then in Lanciostory (1987), and some years later in a couple of Italian anthologies. It has been recently published in Argentina by Doedytores (2025).
It is a story of pirates, adapted by Enrique Breccia from a script by director Antonio Valerii, an Italian film director and master of the spaghetti western, and A.Z Minor (pseudonym of Alvaro Zerboni). It seems to be heavily inspired by Robert Louis Stevenson's Treasure Island as it focuses on the secret search for a legendary treasure, which the protagonist, a doctor, stumbles upon by chance while fleeing from a series of romantic entanglements.
