Agustín Comotto

Agustín Comotto learned to draw comics from Alberto Breccia and Leopoldo Durañona. He began his activity in the field of illustration publishing comic books for various media outlets in Argentina and the United States. In 1999 he moved to Barcelona, Spain. Since the 1990s, he has devoted himself exclusively to illustration as an illustrator and author. He has published books in Mexico, Venezuela, Argentina, Spain, Korea, and Italy.
In 2000 he won the award “A la orilla del viento” from Fondo de Cultura Ecónomica for his illustrated book Siete millones de escarabajos (Seven million beetles), published in México, France, Belgium, Sweden and Brazil. He also received the White Raven mention for this book. In 2006, he won the Best Illustrated Book Mention ALIJA, IBBY for The Bookworm, published in Argentina and Brazil.
For Nórdica Libros he has done illustrated editions of adult classics such as 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea or The Fall of the House of Usher.
