Memoria

Art by: Kepa de Orbe

Written by: Antonio Sachs

There is no war or armed conflict without documented atrocities perpetrated against women. Not a single one. The Spanish Civil War is no exception.

Memoria recounts the fifteen very real and very harrowing cases, that are representative of the despicable violence perpetrated against anonymous women and even girls from various social, cultural and ideological backgrounds.

Despite their innocence and the senselessness of the violence they suffered, they were unjustly murdered or tortured.
