Welcome to MBM Foreign Rights webpage!
MBM Foreign Rights is a boutique rights agency based in Barcelona. We represent translation rights of an outstanding selection of comic books and graphic novels, with a special focus on Spanish and Latin American works from the 1980s and 1990s of the past century. Our goal is to bring these stories to readers around the world by selling their translation rights to foreign publishers.
We work with a carefully selected catalogue of award-winning creators, including: José Ortiz, Fernando de Felipe, Jesús Blasco, Enric Sió, Rafael Aura Léon or Santi Pérez worldwide and Antonio Hernández Palacios or Agustín Comotto in certain territories.
We represent as well the Spanish crowdfunding publisher SPACEMAN PROJECT, the Spanish publisher YERMO EDICIONES and, in non exclusive basis, CASCABORRA EDICIONES. We also act as co-agent of Oh Books Literary Agency, with a chosen selection of Graphic Novels from NORDICA LIBROS.
Works from our Catalogue have been licensed in multiple languages such as French, Polish, English, Serbian, German, Brazilian Portuguese, Dutch, Danish, Italian and Hungarian.
We act as a bridge between rights holders and international publishers by negotiating deals, managing contract signatures, making sure publication schedules are met and payments are made in time following terms signed by the parties. We also work for international publishers to help them acquire rights from third parties.
