Korokke and the girl who said no

Art by: Jonatan Cantero

Written by: Josep Busquet

Korokke delves deep into traditional Japanese folklore to transport us to a mythical Land of the Rising Sun, where creatures from legends coexist with humans on a daily basis. Legends such as Oni, with epic feats such

as defeating the treacherous serpent in the Cherry Tree Temple or annihilating all the devil ninjas in the Black Lagoon. Is this legend true,  or is Oni a cruel creature like the rest of its kind?

Anzu is a young woman who runs away from everything. She has been struck by misfortune but instead of accepting her fate, she chooses to say ‘No’ and leave everything behind. But this won't be easy. For her, the mysterious oni from the legends, called Korokke, is the only option she has left to escape her fate.
